These were some of the wonderful events & exhibits at the library: An environmental book display to view, demonstrations of spinning wool to yarn, a special appearance by Dirt Man, a plant and seed swap by the Community Garden, recycling information by the Town of Highlands Sanitation Dept., display by Orange & Rockland Electric Company, seed planting & origami crafts & coloring with the Garden Club, story reading for children, a visit from Finnegan & Barb–our Reading with Dogs team, Girl Scouts’ display of their Silver & Gold Projects, information display by HFIS Environmental Club, information display by Environmental Committee with recycle bin raffle, Town of Highland United Youth, and Girl Scout cookies for sale.

While all theses activities were happening, the Boy Scouts Troop 23 and a few residents were working hard to clean up the library grounds.
